Fundraising committees
North West London Society
The Home’s longest and most well established committee is highly successful in the events which it holds. This year’s events have included a bridge and a musical evening with supper.
South West London Society
A lively, popular and well established committee, whose supporters are mainly from South of the River. The Funday Sunday has proved to be a great success bringing many visitors to the Home for a day of fun and lots of activities for all ages to enjoy. The Race Night held in our concert hall attracted a good crowd for a flutter on nine virtual horse races with some savvy betting and winnings.
Literary Lunch Committee
Since the inception of this Committee, they have held impressive events at first class venues in London. High profile speakers have included Edwina Currie, Penny Vincenzi, Late Sheridan Morley, Fay Weldon, Dame Beryl Bainbridge, Ronald Allison, Anne Widdecombe and Tracy Chevalier.
Clay Shoot
A high profile annual event which attracts national corporate companies as well as individual friends and supporters. The day consists of breakfast, the shoot and a wonderful lunch followed by an auction with great prizes. All proceeds raised are in aid of Nightingale – those who attend are guaranteed a fantastic day!
Golf Tournament
The Super Annual Golf Tournament organised by Nightingale is held on the greens of the spectacular Coombe Golf Club. The event is open to all keen golfers who whilst raising money for Nightingale have a chance to show off their handicap.
The Young Nightingales
This young committee came on the scene in 2003 and their launch event was a “Salsa Evening”. They have gone from strength to strength with various innovative fundraising events including a Jazz and Monte Carlo Magic evenings and this year a cabaret night at the renowned Cafe de Paris.
HA7
This committee is centred on the Stanmore area and holds an annual sports quiz which is hugely successful. Plans are underway for this event for 2008.
Nightingale Relatives Committee
This committee organises an event in the Nightingale concert room in the form of supper quizzes and musical performances. Despite of raising substantial funds they also help bring people to the Home which is a great expedition for those who cross to the South of the River Thames!!!
