Patrons Scheme
How can you help?
Most residents at Nightingale are supported in varying degrees by Local Authorities. Unfortunately monies received from statutory sources fall far short of the actual costs of running this very special facility. Indeed, there are some residents for whom no funding is available at all.
The only way we can maintain our standard of excellence is to look to the generosity of our many friends in the community. We cannot provide the level of service demanded of us unless we are able to budget and plan on a long-term basis and therefore we must secure our most important source of income which is from the community that we serve.
For this reason, we are seeking a regular commitment. The minimum annual donation to become a patron is £5,000 and if you donate under the Gift Aid scheme this will enable us to benefit even further from your generosity.
What is a patron?
A Patron is a committed friend, somebody whose support we know we can rely on. In recognition of this we would be pleased, if it is your wish, to have your name printed on our notepaper and/or displayed prominently in the Home. You will be kept regularly informed of activities and plans for the future and special Patrons' Briefings will be held at the Home periodically.
We also extend to you an invitation to visit Nightingale to see for yourself the work we are doing here with your support. A telephone call to facilitate arrangements would be appreciated because then we would have the opportunity of ensuring that a proper tour is arranged.
