Respite (Short Stay Care) at Nightingale
Why choose Nightingale?
As an established home, Nightingale has been providing quality care for over 160 years. We have established our name at the heart of the community and have achieved a reputation for excellence.
Set in beautifully landscaped gardens specially designed for the needs of the older person, Nightingale is a large complex, comprised of a number of residential units providing a level of care appropriate to the needs of each resident. Those requiring the level of help a caring relative would provide are cared for in our residential units.
In addition to providing care, residents at Nightingale also enjoy other facilities and services including a concert room, numerous lounges, a café and shop, art and crafts centre, synagogue and an unmatched programme of social and leisure events.
Why choose short stay care?
A taste of life
During a short break you can enjoy and sample the life, services and facilities at Nightingale. If you are considering permanent care now or in the future, such a break allows you the opportunity to try our services without making a long term commitment.
A break
Many people understandably wish to remain in their own home for as long as possible. A short stay at Nightingale gives you a change of environment plus a break for your family who can be secure in the knowledge that you are being looked after and enjoying a range of services that may not be available in your own home.
Why choose short stay care at Nightingale?
For quality of care, cuisine and comfort, Nightingale offers well-equipped single rooms. Most of our single rooms have en-suite toilets. All of our rooms have washing facilities.
While a guest at Nightingale you can enjoy access to all arts and crafts activities ranging from painting and pottery to computer classes and gardening as well as access to the very extensive programme of activities and outings.
Reservations
Reservations are subject to the availability of a room in a part of the building most suited to your care needs but we will always try our very best to accommodate you.
