Our commitment to our staff and a practical demonstration of the extent to which we value them
Welcome to the Nightingale Staff Facilities Centre situated on the 2nd and 3rd Floors of the Alfred Cope Wing.
The amenities cover the provision of educational and training facilities, health and leisure opportunities and further dining arrangements to supplement those already available.
Staff Resource Centre
Here is a quiet haven away from all the noise and bustle of life at Nightingale where staff members can study for NVQs or any other self-advancement, in a suitable environment. Stand-alone computers will eventually be available for staff use and when our computer network has been fully developed Internet access will become available in this room.
First Aid Room
The purpose of this room is to provide staff with a facility where, should someone feel unwell, there is somewhere to lie down for a while in the peace and quiet.
Games Room
The Games Room is equipped with an American Pool Table, Bar Football and Table Tennis and is for the enjoyment of all members of staff. The room is available 24/7.
Brubecks Health & Fitness Studio
Brubecks is Nightingale's gym and is a "members only" club open to all staff. Before joining an assessment is carried out by our Health & Fitness Advisor. In Brubecks you will find a multigym, cross-trainer, upright bike, skipping ropes, exercise charts, free weights, etc.
Changing Rooms
There are male and female changing rooms adjacent to the gym. These facilities are principally designed for gym users but they can of course be used for those who cycle to work or run during their break!
Staff Rest Rooms
There are two lounges - each is equipped with very comfortable armchairs, coffee tables and TV faciltiies. There is a sofa in each room. The rest rooms are available at all times.
Meeting & Training Room
The meeting and training room is equipped with the latest audio-visual systems which operate with videos, DVDs or computer presentations, enabling training sessions to be highly effective.
Comfortable chairs fitted with writing tables will help take the strain out of the longer training and briefing sessions!
Staff Dining Facility - Brubecks Eatery
This is a pleasant and welcoming eating environment in the form of dining room, leading to an open plan kitchenette area equipped with kettles, microwave ovens, together with crockery, cutlery and mugs and refrigerators and water chiller.
In order to preserve Jewish traditions and cultures within the rest of Nightingale it is essential that users understand that non-Kosher food can only be brought into this new facility and not any other part of the Home.
This facility is open 24/7 except during the Festival of Passover when it will be closed.
